Before the software was available, there were just technical notes, tables and a collection of formulae. Taking the first project step, a software for the calculation of timing belts was realized in order to improve the customer service and to help the internal technical advice. Using the software, the belt drive can be interactively configured. It is also possible to calculate the geometry and performance of multiple-shaft gear drives. Furthermore, the software solution provides a link to the electronic catalog and the calculation report enables the user to purchase the products contained in the report.

The software is available online or runs straight from CD without any installation.

The main purpose of the following project was to develop a selection tool for couplings and slides as well as to realize a chain configurator. The individual software modules and the timing belt calculation were combined together to a shared user interface.more...
