New in GearEngineer: Expanded capabilities for the calculation and 3D modeling of face couplings
With the latest version of GearEngineer, GWJ Technology expands its capabilities for calculating and 3D modeling face coupling tooth geometries based on additional gear geometries.
In addition to face coupling geometries derived from spiral bevel gear tooth forms according to the Klingelnberg Zyklo-Palloid® system, GearEngineer now also supports the calculation and modelling of face couplings based on the tooth forms of straight and helical (skew) bevel gears.
The following bevel gear types are supported:
- Constant tooth depth
- DIN cone
- Standard cone
- Duplex cone
Greater geometric flexibility for face coupling design:
- These expanded capabilities allow different bevel gear tooth forms to serve as the basis for face coupling geometries, enabling detailed calculations and accurate 3D modeling.
- The resulting high-resolution 3D models can be further processed in CAM systems and used for various manufacturing processes, including 5-axis milling.
GearEngineer thus supports a continuous digital workflow: From geometric definition and 3D modeling to manufacturing-ready model delivery.
